Welcome to the Department of Informatics
The Department of Informatics is part of the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics und Natural Sciences at the University of Hamburg. It is one of the larger Informatics departments in Germany and has a broad and modern profile in both teaching and research. Since 2005, the Informatics curriculum uses the international Bachelor/Master system and in 2006, the consecutive Bachelor/Master programme in Informatics was accredited by ASIIN without restrictions and thus confirmed in its high quality.
Since then the range of programmes was continuously optimised and extended by new and interesting Bachelor and Master programmes to account for newly emerging trends of Computer Science, including the recently introduced, English-taught MSc Intelligent Adaptive Systems which started in the winter semester 2012/13.
