The Department of Informatics is part of the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics und Natural Sciences at the University of Hamburg. It is one of the larger Informatics facilities in Germany and has a broad and modern profile in both schooling and research. In 2005, the Informatics curriculum changed to the international Bachelor/Master system. Early in 2006, the consecutive Bachelor/Master Program in Informatics was accredited by ASIIN without restrictions and thus confirmed in its quality.
