On this page we list open positions offered by SVS.
Hints for external applicants:
We are receiving numerous enquiries for student internships, PhD positions, etc.,
in fact more than we can answer individually; so, please understand that we will
only be able to look at your application if it complies with the following
rules:

All vacant, funded PhD positions are listed
here, if there is nothing listed, it does not
make sense to apply for one.

We do not offer any internships for students, unless this has
been understood between us and your home department. Your
supervisor will know about it, so please see him/her first.

In case you are interested in working with SVS and have
your own funding, please also route your request
through your scientific supervisor. It usually makes
sense to do this before applying for a grant.

If all this still does not distract you, and you really want to
work here: You are welcome to send your application by snail
mail, including a complete CV and an outline about your plans
and a demonstration of interest/alignment with the SVS
activities.
Lastly, a hint: The likelyhood of seriously considering your application is
indirectly proportional to square of content-free buzzwords in your write-up.
