Objectives and Contents
In dieser Lehrveranstaltung liegt der Schwerpunkt in der praktischen Erprobung und Implementierung von Sicherheitsmechanismen und Angriffen auf Sicherheitsfunktionen. Dementsprechend nimmt die Arbeit am Rechner den größten Teil der Zeit ein. Vorgegebene Rahmenprogramme sind mit eigenem Quellcode zu ergänzen und lauffähig zu machen. Zudem lernen die Studenten aktuelle Sicherheitstools kennen und anzuwenden. Es werden sehr gute Grundkenntnisse und Geschicklichkeit in der Programmierung mit Java sowie hohes Engagement vorausgesetzt. Grundkenntnisse in Linux werden zu Beginn der Veranstaltung vermittelt. Die Veranstaltung findet in unserem SecLab statt.
This project (taught in German) and its Integrated Seminar focuses on practical aspects of IT security, namely testing and implementing security mechanisms and attacks on security functins. Therefore, most of the work is carried out on Linux (currently Debian/Ubuntu) workstations. The students will become familiar with current security tools and learn to apply them to challenging problems. Participants have to have a solid basic knowledge in the foundations of IT security. They should also be fluent in Java to be able to implement small programs. At the beginning of the project, there will be a short introduction to Linux, but it is expected that the students are able to solve any issues with the operating system on their own. The project takes place in the SecLab.

Das Masterprojekt findet regelmäßig im Wintersemester statt und dauert genau ein Semester. Es wird begleitet von einem Integrierten Seminar. Angaben ohne Gewähr.
