Abstract: The paper introduces a model for system design combining object-oriented structuration with Petri nets modelling. Hopefully the software engineer experienced in object-oriented design will benefit from the simple expression of concurrency and synchronisation provided by Petri nets, while the Petri net expert will take advantage of the powerful structuring schemes of object-oriented languages.
