Abstract: A model combining Petri nets with objects, probability theory and notions of fuzzy time knowledge is elaborated with a view to an application to the monitoring of flexible manufacturing systems, at the global coordination level. Notions of imprecise and fuzzy markings were introduced in the Petri nets. In case of a disruption, in addition to the current marking to which the object localizations are certain, some tokens whose localizations are uncertain were introduced. The monitoring and the recovery in an automated manufacturing system is given as an example.

Keywords: fuzzy marking; imprecise marking; nets (with objects); fuzzy time; recovery (in an) automated manufacturing system; probability theory.
