Abstract: The main terms and definitions of fuzzy Petri nets are discussed. It is pointed out that fuzzy Petri nets enable analysis of systems with stochastic properties which cannot be described by deterministic or stochastic methods. They thus enable description and analysis of fuzzy discrete systems.
