Abstract: Deductive databases have brought considerable progress in theory and applications of databases. In this paper, we apply Petri net representations and techniques to deductive databases. The paper is not a technical one. We rather present a collection of ideas in order to demonstrate the benefits of combining deductive databases and Petri nets.
