Abstract: Industrial systems human interfaces deal with high volumes of information on the plant, some of which with hard deadlines. This paper focuses on modeling the human interface component of industrial systems using colored Petri nets (CPNs). A set of objects and functions typical for the industrial user interfaces were selected to be part of the model. The resulting CPN industrial interface model should be easily expanded and integrated into an industrial plant's model.
