Abstract: This paper presents some methological results about Flexible Manufacturing Systems specification and simulation based on Timed Coloured Petri Nets. The authors present the different functions of an ISATIS software package developed at the Automatic Control Laboratory of Grenoble (France). This package was conceived in order to give to the user a good utilisation flexibility. Finally, the authors present an example intended to show the validity of the realization by comparing the true processing times in an actual workshop and those obtained by simulation.
