Integration of Petri nets into an IEC 1131 Controller Design Environment.

Abstract: In this paper signal interpreted Petri nets (SIPN) are presented as a new method for controller design. It is shown how this design method can be seamlessly integrated in an IEC 1131 control design environment. The advantages resulting from the use of SIPN are discussed.
