In: Proceedings of IFSA'95 the Sixth International Fuzzy Systems Association= World Congress, pages 337-340. July 1995.

Abstract: The main purpose of this paper is to present the use of a synchronized colored Petri net model as the formalism to specify control for real time discrete event systems, supported by an extended Programmable Fuzzy Controller with rule based approximate reasoning capabilities. Formalisms grouped in the concept usually referred as Intelligent Controller have been integrated into the programmable controller (PLC) concepts, namely production rule based systems, approximate reasoning and fuzzy control. An example of application to intelligent buildings is presented.
