Abstract: The paper presents a mathematical approach enabling the investigation of dynamic behaviour of discrete controlled analogue-continuous systems. Such systems are typical to coordination control in batch chemical sytems. By means of timed Petri nets, the dynamic behaviour can be analysed with graph-theoretical methods. The result is an exact definition of a suitable control strategy. As an example, a control strategy for a typical batch chemical process is determined and discussed.
