Theory of Describing Performability Models.

Haverkort, B.R.; Niemegeers, I.G.

Memo INF-88-26. Technische Univ. Twente, Enschede (The Netherlands); Dept. of Computer Science, November 1988.

Abstract: Performance and reliability models are studied. Both are described using queueing networks of Petri nets models. A performability model includes both aspects of performance and of reliability. It is claimed that performability models can be described by two separate models and a connection between these models. A performability modeling technique is proposed.

Keywords: performability (model); reliability; queueing networks (of Petri nets); performance.
