Abstract: The paper describes a methodology solving the problem of the performance analysis of complex systems as are computer and communication systems. Generalized stochastic Petri net (GSPN) serves as a starting point that models the system under study. The GSPN model is then transformed to equivalent continuous-time Markov chain (CTAMC) that can be solved by common standard way or by nonstandard graph method. In this paper there is used the useful method - the method of markovian approximation of factor processes for calculating performance measures.
