Abstract: The notion of colored Petri net (CPN) can be defined in various ways depending upon how the color matchings are specified in the firing conditions. The concepts of structural color matching and firing color matching are introduced in order to define a new type of CPN suitable for representing a system consisting of devices which can handle multiple processing.
