Abstract: The ability of a Flexible Manufacturing system's controller to adapt to changes in the system is crucial. In this paper, a system for configuring the systems controller so that it can easily be adapted to changes in the system is developed. Besides allowing for such adaptation, the system captures the concurrency in the FMS. Colored Petri nets form the basis of the system developed.
