Morphisms to Preserve Structural Properties of Petri Nets.

Abstract: The classical definition of net morphism is the least restrictive definition which respects the topology of the source net. However it is too weak to respect other structural properties. Vicinity respecting morphisms restrict this classical definition. The paper shows that vicinity respecting morphisms do respect traps, siphons and choices structure. As a consequence they respect almost all relevant structural properties of a source net, especially the ones that influence the dynamics of the net.
