Abstract: A novel method for data distribution (or allocation) that utilizes automata that exhibit rational behavior is proposed. A model expressed in terms of problem-oriented Petri nets that describe the implementation of requests to a distributed database is presented. Results are obtained that confirm the selection and validity of the data distribution criterion.
