Representation of Dynamic Features in a Conceptual Schema.

Prabhakaran, N.; Falkenberg, E.

In: Aust. Comput. J. (Australia), Vol. 20, No. 3, pages 98-104. August 1988.

Abstract: Some of the current information modelling techniques have been studied and a comparative analysis of their dynamic aspects is presented. In order to achieve an integrated approach with respect to fact and activity orientation, the authors have chosen the primarily fact-oriented technique NIAM (Nijssen Information Analysis method), and improved its representation of dynamic features. A generalised algorithm for transforming activity-oriented specifications from a Petri net onto a NIAM conceptual schema is described.
