Abstract: Three expanded Petri nets are proposed, whose main concerns are to find the method to obtain the S-invariant. These expanded Petri nets are suitable to describe and analyse systems operated under the maximal allowed value. While the TR-net introduces the concept of a testing arc based on the R-net (reources-modelling net) and is suitable to express systems with testing relations, the TTPT net contains the concept of time-passing and is fit to build a dynamic model of concurrent production procedures. The above proposed methods have been used in building a model and simulation for real systems.

Keywords: discrete event system model (based on) expanded net(s); S-invariant; reources-modelling net; testing arc; TR net; concurrent production procedures; TTPT net; timed net; discrete event simulation.
