Abstract: In the paper the notion of L-conditional Petri net language is introduced. An L-conditional Petri net language is characterized by the fact that every prefix of a transiton sequence must be contained in a certain language of the family L.The families of conditional Petri net languages are compared. Comparisons with the language families generated by conditional grammars are also provided. Finally, it is shown that any Chomsky or Petri net language can be represented as the homomorphic image of free L-type conditional Petri net language.
