Abstract: Extended Petri nets can model the vague conditions and can use the ordinary net theoretical technique to analyze structural properties. Using extended Petri nets, the modeling methods of the fuzzy inference engine are derived. The boundedness, liveness, and reachability of this extended Petri net model of the fuzzy inference engines are analyzed and clarified theoretically. The properties of a previously published model and the proposed model are compared.

Keywords: extended net models (for) neural network(s) (and) fuzzy inference engines; boundedness; liveliness; reachability; neural circuit(s).
