Abstract: Problems concerning application of Petri nets for management and simulation of parallel processes in flexible production systems (FPS) are considered. An example is given of a transport FPS net for which the methodology is given to construct a managing model in terms of the Petri net. The structure of a specialized digital device for simulation of the Petri nets which permits realizing management by means of net models in real time is described.
