Research Projects
Computational Neural Architectures for Emotional/Empathic Robots
This is the title of my PhD research in the Centre for Hybrid Intelligent Systems. The target of my research is on studying human brain processing pathways and inspiring them to develop a computational architecture. The focus is on emotions perception and emotional concepts learning from facial expressions. The architecture can be used in an intelligent robotic head (MIRA) or other robotics systems to enable them with the capability to understand human emotions and intentions before generating expressions or any actions.Dynamic Decisions in Maintenance
DYNAMITE is an EU Framework 6 IP project for three years. There are over 16 partners in different industrial companies and universities working together. The objective of the project is to address the maintenance problems by developing and applying a blend of leading-edge communications and sensor technology for diagnostic and prognostic. The aim of the project in our work package is to develop an RFID and PDA system for supporting dynamic decision making in maintenance systems.|
