Open
Access Award 2010 by the students of the Department Informatics for INFDok!
The
library
received this award for the establishment of the platform "INFDok"
which gives all Department members and science students the possibility
of electronic publishing in accordance with the Open-Access principle.
Thank you very much for this award! We appreciate this recognition of our open-access efforts and we hope that all Department members will take part as active users in future.

and to mail them to your own university address.

E-books on the platform Safari
Tech Books Online is terminated!
Access
statistics during the trial access to Safari Tech Books Online was so
convinving that we want to pursue this offer.As a start we want to offer approximately 70 titles for two simultaneous users in the campus IP-Range. A monthly exchange of titles is possible.
Here is the first suggestion with about 50 titles. Further title requests should be sent to infbib@informatik.uni-hamburg.de

Server of the Department
The document and publication server of the department - INFDok - offers
all members of the Department of Informatics, the organizational and
technical framework for electronic publication of scientific documents
in accordance with the guidelines
(in German) of the department.The 10 newest publications
Academic
OneFile
The State and University Library has licensed the Academic onefile
database.
It contains bibliographical references to topics virtually all
disciplines: science, technology, medicine, economics
and social sciences, humanities. The program analyzes over 11,000
sources, the articles for about 5100 journals are also
available in full text. Indexes and full texts of major newspapers are
also integrated, such as The New York Times, Times, Financial
Times,
Wall Street Journal.

Encyclopedia of Natural and Mathematical Sciences
This
Encyclopedia provides a saga of history of ideas, discovery and
invention in the natural and mathematical sciences over 100 generations
of great thinkers from Thales to Feyman. It blends the essential
historical data (chronology, biographies, major background, political
and economical events, etc.) together with science proper (principles,
laws, experiments, observations, theories, equations, etc.).This encyclopedia is licenced by Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek and can be accessed within die IP-range of the University.
