ASIS 2005 - Argentine Symposium on Information Systems
Rosario, Argentina, August 29

Aims and scope
The Second Argentine Symposium on Information Systems (ASIS 2005)
will be held in Rosario (Argentina), in August 2005, as part of the 34rd
International Conference on Computer Science and Operational Research
(JAIIO 2005).
It will bring together researchers, developers, and practitioners in
a forum to discuss and exchange new ideas and experiences about
Information Systems.

ASIS 2005 seeks original works in the wide spectrum of information
systems, not only from academic research but also from industrial
and business applications, with significant impact and lessons
learned from application development.
The symposium will feature invited talks and paper sessions presenting
both mature work and new ideas in research and applications.
Submission of papers related, but not limited to, the following topics
are encouraged:
   * Design and Evaluation of Information Systems
   * Organizational issues on systems integration
   * Modeling concepts and information integration tools
   * Inter-organizational information systems
   * Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
   * Information technology management
   * Business processes Re-engineering
   * XML based languages and standards for B2B relationships
   * Ontology-Based information systems for e-commerce
   * Process design and organizational issues in e-commerce and e-business
   * e-procurement and Web-based supply chain management
   * e-government
   * Formal Methods
   * Decision Support Systems
   * Data Warehouse
   * Data Mining
   * Workflow Management System
   * Collaborative Technologies
   * Knowledge Management System
   * Strategic information systems
   * Transfer and diffusion of Information Technology

Submissions can be full papers addressing any topic on the scope of
the symposium or short papers describing ongoing research projects
at academic or development environments. An international program
committee using appropriate criteria to their category will review
the papers. Papers may be accepted for presentation as talks,
as part of a panel, or as posters.

Submissions are due on May 2, 2005.

Submissions
The submissions of technical papers and project descriptions must follow
the following format: up to 15 pages, double-spaced, A4 (210 x 297
millimeters) paper, including name, affiliation and address of
the author/s, figures and references.
Papers should also include keywords and an abstract of no more than 200
words. We encourage the use of the English language. However, papers in
Spanish or Portuguese are also welcome. The material must be unpublished
and not under submission elsewhere. The format for the camera-ready copy
will be informed together with the acceptance letter.
Submissions must arrive before May 2, late submissions will most likely be
rejected. Receipt of a submission will be acknowledged immediately to
the contact author.
Electronic submission should be sent in PDF file to gmonte@unsl.edu.ar.
Otherwise, authors may submit 3 copies of the full paper to the
