Past Research Interests
- Logics, in particular Description Logics
Apart from actually developing models of the superior colliculus I am also cooperating with Erik Strahl and Jorge Dávila-Chacón in building an audio-visual virtual reality lab for robots.
The goal of this is to create an environment in which we can present complex, yet highly controlled multi-sensory stimuli to our robots and first train the bio-inspired software we develop and then study its performance.
A video of building the physical infrastructure of this lab and a 3D animation of it can be found here ("Building up the VR Robot Training Lab" and "The new lab - a VR Robot Training Lab").
