Note

There's no one else quite like The Kipper Family (who said “thank goodness”) and their rendings, er renderings of traditional songs from around their home village of Trunch. As the liner notes so succinctly point out “For those who admire the old style of singing, Sid & Henry Kipper have become something of a cult. For those who don't, of course, they haven't.” On this collection they perform mostly Christmas songs and stories and are joined for the festivities by various friends and enemies including The Rev Derek Bream, Bridget Bream, Annie Kipper (Miss), The St Just-Near-Trunch Handbell Ringers and others. Besides the title song they perform other seasonal ditties like Thanks A Lot, God, Oh Little Town Of Gimingham, Ring Out Wild Jingle Bells, That Was Christmas Eve, The Ivy & The Holly, Christmas Collapso, and others. You have been warned! (FS)
