Rag Doll

[Bob Crewe, Bob Gaudio]

This #1 hit of the Four Seasons in 1964 was recorded by Steeleye Span during their 1972 America tour with session drummer Hal Blaine (who had played on many of Elvis Presley's recordings) and produced by Dick Glasser of Everly Brothers fame. The track was first released in 1978 as a UK single with the B-side Saucy Sailor and appeared in the U.S. as a bonus track on the Live at Last! album as a substitute for Bonnets So Blue.

It was re-released on the Chrysalis 2CD Steeleye compilation, Spanning the Years, and in 1999 on the CD A Rare Collection 1972-1996.
