Abstract: The paper deals with the systematic development of hierarchical control systems for complex transportation processes. The modelling of the transportation process is described. Petri-nets in conjunction with state matrices have been proved to be suitable for modelling the basic transportations process. The decomposition of the control tasks is presented and optimization problems are considered.
