Abstract: An integrated approach to the modeling and performance evaluation of data-flow program graphs is developed by exploiting the similarities of such graphs to Petri nets (PNs). The basis of the methodology is a time-extended PN model, enhanced with data handling capabilities. Taking such an approach means that both data and control flow are combined in one model.
